The American Academy in Rome is offering fellowships for curatorial research, humanities and arts for Spring 2025 and the 2025-2026 academic year. Italian Fellows are an integral part of the AAR community. Italian artists and scholars live and work in the Academy community, pursuing their own projects, participating in its collaborative, interdisciplinary environment and helping make connections between Rome Prize Fellows and their Italian peers.
Learn more about the openings and their eligibility and applications requirements on the AAR website. Application deadlines range from January 30 to February 12, 2025. Please click the link to view dates for each program.
Italian Fellows are required to live at the American Academy in Rome. All fellowships include a single room, board, and a stipend. Length of stay varies by the fellowship (see below).
Winners of Italian Fellowships are announced at the annual Rome Prize Ceremony, held every April in New York.
