This month’s featured collection from SAHARA includes photographs taken by Allan Kohl, lecturer and visual resources librarian for the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. For years, he has supported the MCAD collection, and his own teaching, with extensive travel and high-quality photography, with a special focus on the ancient world and medieval and Renaissance Europe. Allan’s recent contributions to SAHARA have significantly enhanced our offerings in monuments frequently taught in architectural surveys. This selection illustrates the breadth of his travels, the quality of his images, and his attention to telling details.
