Applications open June 1, 2024 – July 15, 2024
Following last year’s success, we are excited to announce that the Conserving Modern Architecture Initiative (CMAI) of the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI) is now accepting applications for the next iteration of the International Course on the Conservation of Modern Heritage (MAC) for 2025.

MAC25 will be a blended format educational course for mid-career conservation professionals. It is composed of 10 modules delivered online followed by two weeks in-person in Los Angeles. The course will take place online from March 13 to June 12, 2025 and in Los Angeles from July 19 to August 1, 2025.

The course aims to advance the conservation of modern heritage, landscapes, and architecture by providing participants with methodological and practical tools through lectures, discussions, exercises, demonstrations, site visits, and field projects. Participants learn about advances in research and practice that have influenced approaches to modern heritage conservation. This course also provides a platform for participants to discuss experiences, challenges, and outcomes of their work.

Please share this opportunity with colleagues, organizations, and friends who may be interested.

Applications close on July 15, 2024. You can find more information on the course and how to apply here. For all questions, please email cmaitraining@getty.edu.
