Obituary: Charles S. Rhyne

Rhyne, Charles S. 81 March 29, 1932 April 14, 2013 Charles Rhyne, Professor Emeritus of Art History, Reed College, died on Sunday as the result of a massive stroke. An eminent art historian, he was known internationally for his wide-ranging interests in the field, from the English landscape painter, John Constable to the theory and practice of conservation, Northwest Coast American Indian art and the use of digital images as evidence for use in research and teaching.
