Upcoming Tours

We are currently planning a tour to Tuscany for September 1-4, 2025. Details will be available in November 2024.

Our Programs

SAH offers a variety of tours to suit your interests and schedule. These include:

  • Study Tours (field seminars) are designed for anyone whose architectural curiosity goes beyond the standard guidebook.  These trips are designed as continued learning opportunities for those personally or professionally interested in architecture and its role and influence in society. Itineraries are often rigorous, with longer durations and many stops per day. Learn more
  • SAH Excursions: These tours offer plenty of learning, but at a more leisurely pace. Excursions are one way SAH raises funds to strengthen its programming and publications. A tax-deductible gift is added to the cost of these tours. Learn more
  • SAH Study Days: Join SAH for a one-to-two day excursion in a single location. Just a rigorous as a Study Tour, but of a much shorter duration. Learn more

SAH Field Seminars

Designed for: Those whose interest in architecture goes beyond the standard guidebook
Purpose:
To provide participants with an intensive firsthand experience of a region's built environment
Length: 10–12-day program that includes multiple buildings and sites in locations around the world

Includes the following:

  • Site visits and lectures designed by a member with authoritative expertise and knowledge
  • Unprecedented access to sites usually inaccessible to the general public
  • An environment that fosters intellectual discussion and debate
  • Unique, customized tours that are not “canned”
  • AIA/CES learning units

While SAH does its best to include the most relevant and exciting sites for our travelers, we cannot include them all. Many travelers find it valuable to arrive a day or two early or stay on a day or two in order to visit other sites that are of interest.
